About Us

Simon and Nicole Rich have been dancing since they were three years old and have been taught many different types of dance forms to include ballet, ballrooms, tap, modern, salsa and modern jive. They met at a local modern jive venue in Surrey in 2003, as their passion for dance grew they decided to compete together and below are a list of their titles they achieved together over seven years. In July 2011 they will be married and look to continuously grow their passion for dance.

As a young girl Nicole started with a dance school managed by Bonnie Langford's Mum, pushing to perform in local shows, modeling displays and then eventually developed into a child star prodigy and was dancing in royal variety shows by the time she was ten years old. It reached a point where dance was not just a passion but eventually a career reaching her IDTA and BATD teacher examination by the age of sixteen.

Simon was also three when he started ballet, as far as he was concerned really study came second to dance. Simon was a well recognised teacher of Salsa in London while he continued his training in Hip Hop and Modern Jive. Up until recently Simon has returned to his ballet. Modern Jive offered Simon a sense of freedom to dance to most genre of music and therefore placed all his efforts into this form of dance.

Simon and Nicole have taught modern jive in excess of five years and now run their own regular weekly classes and events with OSCARS and teach various of classes and perform for most independent modern jive businesses across the UK. They are personally recognised and respected for their teaching techniques which they have developed over time.

Simon and Nicole are 11 times modern jive champions and have won numerous awards as competitors over the last three years including Advanced, Open and Showcase sections of competitions across the UK.

Simon and Nicole are now married and have full intentions to keep the passion for dance alive!
